Challenge

Fiver Children’s Foundation, a nonprofit that provides experiences and builds relationships over the course of ten years for youth from under-resourced communities, needed brand guidelines that could scale across their digital and print touch points, along with a refreshed logo and 25th anniversary logo.

I suggested a systematic approach to first build the brand guidelines followed by the logo updates to ensure a cohesive visual system.

Brighter green for added visual punch, crisper burst with 12 points to align with Fiver’s 12 values, lighter + larger typography to visually balance with logo mark.

Strategy + Execution

Working collaboratively with Fiver’s Sr. Director of Development, I audited Fiver’s website, social media, and reports to collect the various fonts and imagery and outline their use cases. From there, I paired down the visual styles, injecting a new look + feel to modernize the brand and establish a purposeful system outlining when, why, and how elements are applied to Fiver materials.
