Challenge
Makin’ Bacon, a locally sourced, artisan meat vendor, was in need of a logo and packaging design for their products.
I was asked to create a brand identity for the Makin’ Bacon product that was simple and whimsical.
Logo Ideation
Balancing a pig as the mascot with the nature of the product was a tricky line to strike. After multiple concepts and iterations, we landed on a finalized logo design that best conveyed smoked bacon.
Strategy + Execution
After landing on a final logo design, I built out a brand color palette and identity that I scaled to the bacon labels and packaging design.
I created a hand-carved linoleum stamp to create a roll of custom wrapping paper for the product for a holiday giveaway.
